“Do it yourself” is very popular. This not only applies to manual skills but also, especially to cooking. This is reflected particularly strongly on television: Cooking shows can be seen in countless formats almost every day — with growing popularity. It is not only important to look over the shoulder of the star chefs, but often the focus is on amateur cooks. And not without reason: Cooking yourself is fun, tastes better, and is healthier!

We are not embarrassed to come up with excuses why we cannot cook for ourselves again today. “No time, no groceries in the house, ready meals are cheaper or cooking is too difficult” are just a few examples.
Purchased ready-made dishes and ingredients usually have the disadvantage that they contain additives, do not contain sufficient nutritional values, and are often geared towards the “average taste” and quicker preparation. Of course, there are exceptions here, too, but the advantages of home-cooked food are obvious: We decide for ourselves which ingredients, spices, and quantities we want to eat. That brings quality and freshness to the table!
