Before going to bed, many try to feed their child to the bone, so that he sleeps sweeter and longer. And this really will induce the child to sleep, but this sleep will not help to rest — the body will digest food instead of rest. And what then is better to feed the baby in the evening, so that it is satisfying and tasty, and healthy?

First of all, before dinner, analyze what the baby ate today. Take an interest in the kindergarten menu: usually, the menu is put on the notice board at the beginning of the week, take pictures, and plan the weekly diet. Why do you need to know what the child ate during the day? This will help solve two important problems:

1. In the evening, you need to give the child those substances that he did not receive during the day. So, if the baby did not eat dairy products during the day or eating a little of them, you can give him cottage cheese or porridge for dinner.

2. After analyzing the daily menu, you can understand that it is NOT worth giving — if only because the child has already eaten this product today. Let your child’s menu be varied. If the baby ate oatmeal in the morning, you should not give it to him for dinner either.

As already said, hearty dinner for “stuffing” the tummy is not at all useful — the baby will sleep, but it is unlikely to get enough sleep. If suddenly a child wakes up in the middle of the night and asks for food, it does not mean that he is really hungry.

Often people, and even more so small children who do not yet know how to understand their feelings, confuse hunger with thirst. If suddenly the baby jumped up in the middle of the night and demands food — first give him some water or some low-fat kefir.

For older children, it is better to feed a fairly light dinner — as you know; dinner should be only about 20% of the daily diet. Do not push a plate of pasta, three cutlets, a piece of bread and butter, and a bun to the kindergartner.

Light Dinner Recipes from My Kitchen

Ideal dishes for dinner are considered to be cottage cheese and cottage cheese casseroles, omelets, baked vegetables or stews, salads, fruits (especially bananas and apples) and baked fruits, dairy products of all variants. Here are my simple yet delicious and healthy food recipes for kids dinner options:-

1. Scrambled Eggs with Vegetables

You will need:

· 3 quail eggs or 1 chicken,

· carrot,

· 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil,

· A couple of cherry tomatoes, a few slices of zucchini, or a third of bell pepper.

Cut carrots and other selected vegetables into small cubes, lightly fry them in oil. Add water to the vegetables so that it slightly covers the vegetables and simmer until tender over low heat. Beat eggs, add them to vegetables, mix. Cover with a lid and stand for a couple of minutes. Very fast and satisfying!

2. Children’s Vegetable Salad

You will need:

· 200 g cauliflower

· a tomato,

· Apple,

· cucumber,

· a couple of lettuce leaves,

· 2 tbsp sour cream,

· salt (optional).

Cook the cauliflower cut into parts in water, cool it. Cut the tomato, apple, and cucumber into small cubes, combine them with chopped lettuce leaves. We fill the salad with sour cream, mix, and put the cauliflower on top. A light dinner for the baby is ready!

3. Curd Pancakes

You will need:

· 160 g wheat flour

· 100 g of cottage cheese,

· egg,

· 10 g sugar

· 1/4 tsp quench soda with lemon juice or vinegar,

· A spoonful of vegetable oil.

Beat the egg, grind with cottage cheese, and add flour, sugar, and soda. Stir everything thoroughly. Grease a hot pan with oil and bake pancakes on it. This recipe is for those with sweet tooth and gourmands, but at the same time, it is quite healthy and not at all heavy for the baby’s tummy.

These are the simple and healthy food recipes I offer you. Remember the main thing: feed two hours before bedtime, do not let everything be missed, feed varied, and give in the evening something that was not on the daily menu. Be healthy!
